We provide innovative, high-quality education for refugees and those who have lost their homelands. Professors, administrators, NGO workers, and educators all bring their unique gifts together to build a vibrant learning community.
Our vision is to create a global education movement where hundreds of thousands of learners gain opportunities, pursue their dreams, and become agents of change for their communities and nations.
Our Story
John Kim has dedicated more than 20 years of his life to serving refugees from Iran and Afghanistan through relief and education. Today, he is fully committed to advancing higher education, empowering displaced communities, and raising future leaders through Open Door University.
Dr. Il-Woo Nam, a graduate of KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), is a distinguished architectural scientist and currently serves as a university professor in South Korea. Beyond academia, he has actively participated in multiple humanitarian initiatives in Türkiye, supporting refugees through relief and educational projects.
